Suction Catheter for Use in The Respiratory Tract

[Performance, Structure and Components]: This device consists of medical PVC tube body and connector.
[Indications for Use]: This device is indicated for clinical suction of trachea secretions.
[Main Structure and Principle]：
1. Structure: The suction catheter consists of tube body and connector.
2. Principle：
Controllable suction catheter is mainly used in patients who are unable to expectorate or under general anesthesia. It can also be used in critically ill patient whose sputum is prone to occluding breathing passages, which will affect the respiratory and cause asphyxia. Controllable suction tube has the auxiliary suction function to help discharge the sputum. Flexible but with sufficient rigidity catheter facilitates the insertion orally or nasally to the trachea. There are two fenestras (on opposite sides) around the tip of the catheter to facilitate extensive suction, which will not affect suctioning when the nozzle is occluded.
[Instructions for Use]:
1.Open the package and remove the device.
2.Slide the catheter along the oral/nasal cavity and tracheal tube down to trachea.
3.Connect the 3-way connector to the suction adaptor.
4.While suctioning, cover the 3-way connector nozzle with the thumb to adjust the suction intensity. (II & III)
5.It can be used alone or in combination with tracheal tubes. Mainly used for suctioning sputum.
